Tells It Like It Is

I was really weary of being rejected by the world and even by believers who misunderstood my concern for sound doctrine in these days of apostasy. I really needed to hear what was in this short, 10 page message. After reading it, even though suffering was presented as the reasonable expectation of serving Christ, I was greatly encouraged to be more obedient to The Lord and to be more patient with people. Simply having suffering openly explained to me calmed my heart, and in light of those truly persecuted for their faith, I saw how small a gift I was actually giving. Yet, I needed to be reminded that the trial of my faith is still precious.

Sometimes it is easy to become discouraged and consider falling back when the devil is whispering in our ears how worthless our efforts are, how people hold us in low esteem, and how little we've accomplished. We long for acceptance when we see how the world treats its friends; but instead, sometimes all we need is to know is that we should hang tough; that we're doing what we're supposed to be doing, and rejoice! In the end, it really only matters what The Lord thinks of us, anyway.
