Lee’s last ‘Journey’ is touching—Dan Hayes, Statesman Journal, August 28, 2004

Appreciation Article

Statesman Journal, Aug. 13, 2004

Laurel's Homecoming

On the evening of August 10th, Laurel Lee passed away. She went peacefully in her sleep, and we know she has gone to be with the Lord. Thank you all for your prayers and support. Though this incredible woman is gone from the body, her legacy will live on for generations to come. She lived what she believed ... may we give thanks to God for allowing us the privilege of having such a beautiful human being in this world. God bless you Laurel Lee.

"Never have I read a book that drew me into the life of the author like air filling a vacuum. The beauty of living a life that is brimming with joy and pathos challenged my every emotion. The books makes you want to squeeze every ounce out of life and hold it in your heart, it makes you appreciate the immensity of the universe yet lets you look into the eyes of a tiny child and totally cherish both. Once I stepped into the life of Laura Lee, I could not leave, the exit door was forever closed."
