As a former Roman Catholic, Ray's analysis is "spot on." In our current day, I am sad to see, heretofore, preachers aligning with the RCC which is truly a "cult" in every sense of the word. I am coming more and more to the conclusion that the RCC is taking on the appearance of the "great whore" in Revelation. I also believe that the RCC is going to be the base for the one world religion and that effort is advancing quicker than most realize. The promotion of the current pope as some sort of "spiritual; icon", is not only sad to see but is being embraced by many modern day evangelical preachers -- i.e. Rick Warren, Kenneth Copeland, Francis Chan, et al. What is wrong with these individuals? Well, in a word, they are "deceived." As an Assemblies of God pastor, I am watching closely the movements of our leadership toward the RCC. They have made some serious mistakes in the past with a number of speakers that embrace an litany of wrong teachings that contain "new age" language and teachings that just are plain wrong i.e. Ruth Haley Barton, Rick Warren (a headliner speaker and two of our General Council meetings over the years) and who is an avowed Calvinist). And the list goes on. I am so grateful for Lighthouse Trails and their ministry and their willingness to expose themselves to ridicule, harassment, mockery etc. They are a blessing and I heartily recommend their list of authors and books that are available as resource materials that I have used over the years. Classic Ray Yungen book

I never heard any of this stuff growing up in a Protestant church -- had no idea at that time that my young Catholic friends (and their parents) had been taught "another gospel"!

So insightful, well written.

I enjoyed reading this book. Gave me so much confirmation to the doubts and truth that I had come to believe about the Catholic religion. I was raised Catholic with Santería beliefs/rituals, and thru the years I had many questions that no one would want to answer. I was just told that I needed to learn to be teachable, just believe the required traditions being taught to me without questioning, and in doing so my faith would grow. I walked away from the catholic religion/santeria in my twenties which cause lasting hurt in my family...spanish people take their traditions real deep into their everyday living. Reading this book has been such a comforting blessing.

I was amazed while reading this book, how much I didn't really truly understand the rituals of the catholic religion, its roots in paganism and deceitfulness. I am a born again Christian by the Grace of God now for many years and so grateful for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Thank you to the author for writing this book with such clarity.

OFF THE CHARTS - 7 STARS!

This book is off the charts. I give it 7 stars! I'm completely amazed at what a wonderful, masterly written, and decisive work this is, surely as Ray said, his magnum opus or major work!! In all my years here as a missionary in a very RC country, this has been like a primer on things I observed but never knew the details and ramifications!!

This needs to be in every missionary's hands, not to mention the whole body of Christ at large. A bi-lingual pastor here who keeps up with you on the website can't wait for it to be available in Spanish.

Excellent, very insightful.

This was a precious parting gift from Brother Yungen.

It is no coincidence that the courtship between Catholics and Evangelicals is making headlines.

Brother Yungen states why it is dangerous (for Protestants) and shows how is was a fulfillment of Bible Prophecy.

I can recommend this book highly to all who believe that the ecumenical movement is the answer to the prayer of Jesus in John 17. It is not.

5 stars absolutely. A perfect companion volume to: A TIME OF DEPARTING.

This book is a treasure! It is easy to read and has so much clarifying information so I have learnt much important facts about the Catholic Faith. There are so many Christians today that believe there are only minor differences between Evangelicals and Catholics. I hope and pray many will read this book and get their eyes opened.

Simple Answers

This is a very easy to understand explanation of Catholic core beliefs, and will serve as an excellent reference when discussing with Evangelical friends who believe that the differences between the faiths are of little consequence. I was especially surprised by the Eucharist and like many, thought it to be equivalent to Communion. It was sobering to read how widespread the move towards Catholicism is even in non-mainline churches.

This would be a good book for pastors/teachers to use in instructing Evangelicals about some of the issues that inspired the Reformation.

I would also be interested in reading about the differences between Eastern Orthodox and Evangelical faiths.

Easy to Read

While the first chapter is very focused on current issues and people involved in them - which are important - I really wanted this for a friend whose son was recently "disappointed" in the Catholic church. I was pleased with the solid and clear explanations and counter points to their dogma. I also appreciated both appendices. I found my faith stronger and some of the finer points of flawed theology made clear. Thanks! Good work.

I love this book for it clearly presents the facts regarding the Gospel vs the teachings of the Catholic Church. Scripture makes it clear, and Ray Yungen's presentation has helped prepare me to share the truths of the Word with some who have have started moving toward ecumenicalism. I thank God that he gave us Ray Yungen and his love and zeal for truth - his teachings have brought wisdom and understanding to this pilgrim, and I miss him along with all who knew him and have grown from his writings. Thank you for keeping his gift alive.

I find that any of the books that I order and read from your author list are always informative and helpful! I have purchased cases of books for the women at the bible study that I go to. We will have discussions that will sometimes lead to what we call "bunny trails" and then we will "berean" the info out of the bible and come back the next week with any info we can and discuss. I will go to the Lighthouse Trails blog site, Midnight call web site and also the Berean Call web page and see what I can find on said topic. If there is a book or tract that jumps out at me I will share that with the women at the bible study. The biggest eye opener so far has been Another Jesus Calling! I am amazed at how many people have read Jesus Calling. So when I mention some of the problems with it they will look at me like "really"?!? I will hand them a copy of the book! Another book that they have read is The Good Shepherd Calls by Roger Oakland. I will do the same with the Simple Answers book.
