Product Description

In our new release, Muddy Waters, Cree author Nanci Des Gerlaise talks about a former shaman Native, Chief Shoefoot and his conversion to Christianity. This DVD (also available in VHS), I'll Never Go Back! is an interview with Shoefoot.

As a young man, Shoefoot was trained to be a Yanamamo shaman or witch doctor. He invited multiple spirits into his "chest" to equip him to heal and lead his people. But there was much darkness and evil in Shoefoot's world. His life was filled with fear and a sense the hopelessness . . . until one day he discovered a Spirit who changed everything. The Yanomamo are regarded by many anthropologists as some of the most primitive people on earth. Most anthropologists tell us leave them alone. "Don't interfere with this pristine culture," they say. In this film, you will discover what Chief Shoefoot has to say in response to the anthropologist statements. DVD: $15.95;

Very relatable

This video is well worth the cost! The translator's speaking, and this man's expressions and gestures, blend smoothly. His is a very compelling story, likely relatable to anyone who has struggled with destructive behaviors and been set free. As he tells his story, the language and cultural differences fade away to reveal a joyful brother in Christ. God is so good, using many different methods to reach us!
